Fun Facts About Doc Kulot

She is very particular about time. Her favorite motto is, “tomorrow is never promised”. She talks about her friend who is always late whenever they gather together. It can be a very annoying character flaw but she still loves that person so much. She believes that she can never pay back the loss of someone else’s time.

She is an open book. She likes vlogging about her journey from her humble beginnings, her career as a doctor and being a successful internet personality as Doc Kulot.

As part of Sophia’s tribute to empowered women, we’ve prepared a special surprise greeting for Doc Kulot in collaboration with our empowerment consultants. We’ve also uncovered an inspiring story that many women will admire, from her journey to becoming a Family Medicine Specialist and a devoted wife, to her valuable insights on self-care.

The One Lesson That Particularly Touched Her Life

Her motto comes from a birthday greeting by Carlos Wallace, and it’s so fitting because this interview was because Sophia Jewellery wanted to celebrate this wonderful lady’s special day!

“When you realize tomorrow is never promised, every “today” is cherished. Embrace this special day with gratitude, hope, love and joy. Celebrate, content in the knowledge that God has granted you the BLESSING of another promising year to fulfill your dreams and claim the life you want and so deserve. - Happy Birthday!”

During the conversation, she emphasized the importance of cherishing today because life is very short. It is important to live in the present time and not just to be too focused on the future. Embrace the small details that are important to one’s growth, a very important affirmation to oneself.

About Self-Care Practices She Recommends

For those who don’t know what self-care is, Doc Kulot talked about the importance of going back to the core, listening to that inner voice, and silencing the noise that surrounds you because it’s easy to forget our own needs when distracted by a demanding schedule and putting others first all the time. Hence, she advises to

  1. Reflect and meditate- filter out the negative, and let the good things remain.

  2. Journal- there is power in writing down your thoughts!

  3. Pray-  most of the time we always ask but it’s more important to thank God for every blessing.

On The Mental Health Benefits of Gold Jewelry

When a person is wearing something that makes them feel good, they become stress-free, more confident and that emotion has a very powerful effect on mental health. It leads to a domino effect on a person’s overall well being. It’s not about whether it's real gold or fashion jewelry but the joy it gives when wearing something that gives a boost of confidence leading to restoration and mental stability.

Most Valuable Life Lesson

“Someone is going to say something bad about you. There will be people who won’t be happy with you and that is okay!” For her, life is full of differences and it's important to filter out the negative energy. Looking back to her younger days while talking to a friend, she recalled how she would easily get bothered by those instances, of being judged, situations or people that made her look incapable even made her feel that she wasn’t enough, but with time, she discovered that she gained an insight to put those memories aside, to move on and that it’s okay if you cannot please everyone.

She reminded us that the important thing is to find your own tribe, and gave wise advice to the younger generation to find their own tribe. To have allies who will give the strength to face the challenges of the day. Making the journey tolerable, these people will help with growth, because growth is painful and these people will be the ones to remind us of our own self worth.
